REITAN was founded in 1948 by Ole and Margrit Reitan on Nonnegata in Trondheim, Norway. Today, Reitan Retail is the leading retail company in the Nordic and the Baltic countries. We are now a company with a common history and culture. Reitan Convenience in Sweden has three popular consumer brands, Pressbyrån, 7-Eleven and PBX.

Pressbyrån is Sweden’s most innovative and accessible kiosk. For example, did you know that Pressbyrån is to thank for Sweden’s first popsicle as well as the first Swedish domestic flight? Our tailored services and assortment in food & drink and everyday needs are made for people on the go – that  want to simplify everyday life with a clear conscience. Between point A and point B, there is always a friendly, cheerful, and reliable P.

7-Eleven was founded by Joe C Thompson in Dallas in 1927 and has been meeting everyday needs 24/7 ever since. Today, 7-Eleven is a global brand with more outlets than any other retailer in the world – more than 81,000 stores across 18 countries to be exact. 

PBX is Reitan Convenience’s living lab, with the ambition to develop the world’s most sustainable convenience. PBX is a science-based living lab, and store, where we test and challenge what sustainable convenience could look like. Together with our customers, suppliers, and scientists , we will find out what future convenience looks like and identify new paths to sustainable choices. The PBX store carries a selected assortment tailored for your needs and within the planetary boundaries. 

Products, innovations and solutions that works well in PBX will then be implemented in our stores around the country.
